How It Works
SVG Starburst Generator builds clean, editable promo burst badges entirely in your browser. Unlike the Edit and Manipulate tools, it does not take an existing SVG as input — it generates brand new SVG markup from the settings you choose. Type the main text and an optional subtext, set the spike count, the inner and outer radius, the rotation and the size, pick your background, text and outline colors, and decide whether to add an outline. Then click Generate Starburst. The tool computes the burst as a single SVG polygon by alternating between the outer and inner radius around the center, and draws the text on top with a generic system font stack. The rotation is baked into the polygon points so the spikes turn while the text always stays upright and readable. The text is automatically sized down for longer labels so it never overflows. The result is a real, dependency-free vector you can copy or download as starburst.svg and drop onto product cards, pricing tables, hero sections and landing pages. SVGTrim creates SVG starburst badges locally in your browser. Your badge text is not uploaded, and the output remains editable SVG markup.

FAQ
What is an SVG starburst?
An SVG starburst is a spiky, attention-grabbing badge — like a sale or promo sticker — drawn entirely with a vector polygon and text instead of a raster image. Because it is SVG, it stays sharp at any size, is tiny in file size, and you can edit its text, colors and spikes directly in the markup.
Where are starburst badges used?
Starburst badges are widely used for promotions and callouts — SALE and discount stickers on e-commerce product cards, NEW and HOT labels on feature lists, percentage-off bursts on banners, and highlight badges on pricing tables, hero sections and landing pages.
Can I change the number of spikes?
Yes. The spike count is adjustable, so you can make the burst as dense or as bold as you like. You also control the inner and outer radius, which together with the spike count determine how spiky or rounded the burst appears.
Can I change the colors and outline?
Yes. You control the background, text and outline colors independently with color pickers and hex inputs, and you can turn the outline on or off. When the outline is off the polygon has no stroke at all. If you enter an invalid hex value the tool shows a friendly message instead of breaking.
Is the generated SVG sent to an external service?
No. SVGTrim creates SVG starburst badges locally in your browser. Your badge text is not uploaded, and the output remains editable SVG markup. There is no API call, no AI involved and no external asset, font or image referenced by the generated badge.
